Providing another data point....
1) Late March - Cancelled flight via Manage Bookings (Told refund within 15 business days). Flight was for October 2020.
2) Mid-April - Called in to follow-up and told ticket has "re-opened" and to submit refund form if I want a refund instead of voucher. Submitted form and also opened AMEX dispute on the same day following the call.
3) End of last week - Received auto-generated Emirates email confirming refund processed
4) Funds appeared on AMEX today. Cancelled AMEX dispute still marked as In-Progress.
