A FA friend of mine has told me that most hub-hub flights have been full or pretty close to it lately. On Tuesday his DFW-PHX was full in F with maybe 20 vacant seats in Y.
Are you actually going to DFW? You might get lucky (
might) if you book a PHL-xxx-DFW, but over the long weekend, who knows. I guess it depends which xxx you pick
