My experience transiting FRA (coming from ARN) on March 29 was that there were a couple of border police directly at the gate checking all passengers' passports. When I came up, the officer looked at my passport, asked whether I'm in transit on my way home, I said yes – that was it. I saw that quite a few other passengers (I presume everyone who didn't answer yes ) was escorted somewhere else after the plane was fully de-boarded, probably for some kind of background check where there's a computer/passport scanner.
