also the LON-SIN is a direct flight between two metropolitan areas with some of the highest "GDPs" in the world , so don't expect reasonable fares where they can generate lot of money , while QR has "nothing to loose" by offering lower prices than "regional competitors"

Yes that is my point. Direct flights. I do not remember what was the difference between Qatar and BA but LH wanted £900 for a return in PE. Obviously via Frankfurt or Munich i do not remember.
