as you said , lack of competition , intra south/central american flights can be even more expensive that flights from europe to central/south america

Ok , but you compare two different markets and two different cases .
What was the price for the same journey with QR from LON ? and same question for BA from OSL ???
also the LON-SIN is a direct flight between two metropolitan areas with some of the highest "GDPs" in the world , so don't expect reasonable fares where they can generate lot of money , while QR has "nothing to loose" by offering lower prices than "regional competitors"

Lots of prices do not make sense to someone but if you see the wide picture you will see that there are many reasons. ..I can give you thousands of examples like that. My suggestion is vote with your wallet. You do not like the price. Do not pay it.
