Perhaps I'll pick a slightly different argument to make. There are around 80,000 smoking-related deaths in England every year. Very roughly speaking, coronavirus might be in the same ballpark in terms of risk and mortality. We manage, but do not ban, smoking, andt people might start to think that coronavirus should be put in the same category - take the risks if you want to.
