I ballpark this brochure in the mid 1990s, probably around 1995 or 1996. Before Star Alliance was founded.
Fare prices were fixed in HKD. Using late 1995 exchange rates, this puts the fares at $2,222 in Y, $3,384 in J, and $5,200 in F.
Adjusted for inflation in 2020 dollars: $3,763 in Y, $5,731 in J, and $8,807 in F.
Really great find! The map also shows the short-lived Osaka-Guam and Saipan service, so this would have been late 1994 or early 1995.
An announcement of those routes and the LAX-Osaka route, also long gone. Also on this map you can see the HKG-DEL route, part of UA's own RTW flight.
Brings back memories, at this time there was a combo UA TG RTW fare in FC for around 5000 USD ex-HKG. When Star came into existence all these products were retired in favor of Star fares which gave more options but were quite a bit more expensive..
