Just read this after getting off the phone with AA. I had to call back. After speaking with 3 agents, the reservation was finally cancelled and I was told the miles would be redeposited and fees refunded to the card I used to book. Although, there was no time frame given or cancellation email received. I did check the AA app and the reservation is definitely gone. Thank you for all the help!
