But, as shown, all flight legs and times are unchanged from the original booking. Presumably AA will provide information about the changes as the departure date draws near?

The cynic in me says this is AA trying to prod me now into canceling for a voucher, instead of waiting for a full refund.
In our case AA didn't even notify us either or show on the website, just happened to look into the booking and our flight was moved entirely but now with a stop, in our case the direct flight is no longer operating, so thus cancelled. I asked for a refund making clear we don't accept the changes and using the grounds of cancellation of our flight on the 4th of April. Wasn't an issue with the rep, it's just the process to get it all back.
