After living in Chicago for many years, finally got around to Stevie B's (1400 N. Ashland). I had always heard it was just OK - we're on a quest to find more Idine restaurants. I was surprised how good it was and the sides we had were excellent: beans, cole slaw and especially, mac and cheese. Very good key lime pie, supposedly Steve's mom's recipe.

We had been to Smoke Daddy's recently and were not impressed and it is NOT CHEAP, especially for a hole in the wall.

Used to love the rib tips at Leon's when he had a place on Clark/Fullerton. A huge pile for about 4.95 or so.

Is the Glass Dome Hickory Pit still around on the sout'west side? They used to have great ribs. Maybe they still do?
