2 months ago, I booked a leisurely trip to Dallas for this week, departing on 3/24. Booked into I class. Cancelled my flights a few days before departure. AA cancelled the return flight after I cancelled my trip. Yesterday, AA's refund page gave me the option to move forward; it was the first time I didn't see a "pending review" screen. AA offered me a voucher at 120% the value of the flight or I could get a full refund. I'm confident that my ticket was not fully refundable. But, I have confirmation that the entire ticket amount will be returned to my credit card.
Please let us know if the refund does indeed show up. This would indicate an IT glitch in the passenger's favor.
