I have an outstanding ticket with them and I am not inclined to accept a voucher, although I am afraid that this will require a chargeback as it doesn't look like they are going to hand out cash any time soon. Would be interested to hear any successes of other users having booked with a UK AMEX.
I've not had success yet but you can open a dispute online citing that the flight has been cancelled and that you are expecting a refund. I've done this with my Amex for several tickets with several airlines that have been cancelled or segments cancelled. If not already paid for they will freeze the transaction until the dispute is resolved. I would just grab as much evidence as you can from Qatar's own website to show the cancelled flights.
