I'm an optimist, so I'm hoping to make a change to an int'l award ticket in June, to take advantage of Saver J inventory that's become available. I feel bad about calling in violation of the 72-hour recommendation, but I can't get the online change tool to provide any results—even though I know the flights I want to switch to have Saver J available.

Is there a trick to getting the online change tool to work? Is it about, say, trying at 4am? Or is it possible they've hobbled it for any itineraries more than 30 days out? FWIW, I've been trying for two days now, including at 5am ET this morning, and the error message was nearly instantaneous.

It's maddening to have internalized the message "The instant you see the fare you want, be ready to pounce!" all these years, and have the system not let me pounce....
