The promotion seems well alive with an extension due to covid-19.

Thank you for your status match registration to KrisFlyer Elite Silver membership tier on XX December 2019.
In view of the COVID-19 situation, KrisFlyer will be extending the qualifying period for you to achieve an accelerated upgrade to KrisFlyer Elite Gold status by an additional 3 months.
Instead of the original 4 months, simply fly 3 eligible Singapore Airlines or SilkAir flight within 7 months from your status match registration date to qualify for an accelerated upgrade to KrisFlyer Elite Gold status.
