It is due to the fact that the BofA has a historical influence at SFO. Specifically, BofA used to have a branch at T3 landside.
Whilst this may be true today, it wasn't a few years back. Terminal 3/International airside only had Chase and Wells Fargo ATMs only as at a few years ago. More, including BoA, were added around the time that concourse E opened.

Chase presumably because of their relationship with United. No idea why Wells was there when others were seemingly blocked out.
