Parking in the desert might be the preferred option but how will flight crew get in and out of the US or indeed anywhere else that has a handy and convenient desert?
I don’t think anyone expects ALL transatlantic services to stop, some people will keep flying, just on a much reduced schedule. Don’t forget BA staff can fly AA/UA if necessary too.
