I have submitted a refund request online - yesterday. I have however not received an email confirming I requested the email and my flight is still "live" on the app and online if I go to manage my booking. I have again today cancelled it for a second time and the flight still shows as live and scheduled to depart in a few hours time. You must request a voucher at least 3 days before departure. You mentioned the flight leaves in a few hours... you won't be eligible if that's the case.
