Skipping last INTL inbound leg at ATL with checked bags?
I know this has been discussed before, but I’m currently airborne on DL83 CDG>ATL (nearly 10 hours in flight!!!). Our final leg to HSV is only a 30-minute hop, but we have a >5 hour layover. Even if we are able to SDC/S to DL1250, that’s still a >3 hour layover. Instead, I’m just going to Uber it so we don’t have the >1 hour trip from HSV to home tacked on as well.
In short, we want to snag our bags at immigration and leave the airport to drive straight home.
I *believe* this is possible, but need confirmation and any tips I should know.
We arrive at Terminal E.
