Right. I got my dates muddled. We flew yesterday. We were impressed at the choice of food and the Lanson Champagne in offer in the Lounge in AKL which was By Invitation Only. Clearly they had offered lots of invitations as it was heaving.

We went to Gate 10 where a A330 awaited us. We like the Business Boarding jetway and the warm welcome abord. They did indeed bring out glasses of Champagne and water. Menus awaited us. The food orders were taken briskly after take-off and drinks preceded them. I had the potato and garlic soup with sour cream. It was delicious. So delicious that I asked if they had another which they did. I then had this sort of pasty with rather dry pork fillet Pithivier of pork and mushy peas. It was OK but I’d think twice about ordering it again. The ice cream was like Praline as I did not eat the gooey caramel. All in all it was quite enjoyable. All the spirits were served from large bottles as opposed to miniatures. Lovely flight served by friendly warm personable people. I like Qantas!!
