"Guests who have received a Status Match (elite status upgrade) in a previous calendar year are not eligible for this promotion. Guests who have already had their status matched within the current calendar year for a level lower than Diamond are eligible, however, for the promotion, and their Diamond level upgrade will last until the end of when their current Status Match upgrade would expire."
I have not received Status Match in previous calendar year (2019), but in 2016, so I should be eligible for this promotion. But, after I sent proof of highest status with another chain (HH Diamond) and bill from my (useless) Cambria stay, my request was denied with the excuse that I had Status Match done in last 5 years (in 2016). There is nothing about last five year period in T&C, just "previous YEAR" is mentioned, not YEARS. Very disappointed with Choice; would expect that Choice would at the very least respect their own T&C or update their T&C with additional information that would be clearly publicly available on the website. I guess I will just stay with Hilton now.
