It would be helpful if you could post your exact itinerary. Redeeming BA Avios for trans-Atlantic or trans-Pacific flights will typically incur high cash surcharges.

Have you verified that AA is offering Business "MileSAAver" award seats on your routes for the dates you want? Only MileSAAver award seats can be booked with partner miles.

The itinerary is STL-LGA, JFK-LHR on 28 May and the reverse back on 14 June. I found “web saver” awards which I’m guessing are not the same as “MileSAAver” awards?

I have ffp for Delta, UA, Eithad, BA, Lufthansa, and AA. Thanks.
