Hi all, first time poster, long time lurker.

Looking for advice on eligibility /tactics for hotel voucher in HKG,

I was booked JRO - ADD - HKG - AKL (30 hr duration), ticketed by ET.

Due to coronavirus, ET have rerouted ET644 via MNL, and now arrives in HKG at 22:30; resulting in me missing NZ1080 and being rebooked on NZ 4992 the following day at 15:20. Will now arrive in AKL 22 hrs later (52 hr duration).

After pressing the transfer desk operator in ADD, I have been informed that I might be able to get a hotel voucher from ET transfer desk in HKG, however my experience is that the ET transfer desk in HKG is manned infrequently and unlikely to be open at 23:00.

Will I be able to obtain voucher from CX as they are operating the connecting flight? or am I better to just book a hotel on my own account.
