I did not stay in the residences so pardon my partially (un)informed opinion but this is my understanding:
- Residences are not part of either Hyatt or SLH
- I would guess residences either have rates including / excluding breakfast or those guests must pay for their breakfast if they choose to go to the restaurant, but either way they are not allowed to go to the Borneo Club which is where guests of the suites have their breakfast, therefore keeping the place exclusive.
- Similarly residence guests cannot go to the Club for afternoon tea and happy hour
- Residence guests only have access to the main pool, not the roof top pool
- Residence guests do not have the 24 hour butler service
- The residences have a kitchen indeed, but the entry level residence (studio) is significantly smaller (40-45 sq m) than the entry level suite (70 sq m).
- Without having seen the residences, I think the quality of the finishes is not as high (based on comments I read, and pictures)
