YMMV with this. BA paid airport upgrades often credit to other airlines (including AS) in the upgraded class as they do with BA. See the last post in this recent thread in the AS forum as an example:

YMMV for sure. I looked into this extensively when I was looking at upgrading my flight. Some people HAVE been lucky and had F credited, but that is not correct according to AS. It is similar to how an AS U ticket will not give you F mileage either. And searching the FT boards, there are people that have been told by BA ticket desk CS that they would receive F miles and didn't.
Personally, I have done this multiple times and never been credited the higher class of upgrade. And the BP I received said "Promotional upgrade", so AS wouldn't accept it. I wouldn't rely on it when calculating the miles.
