Hate to speak for other people, but I think what Sheryl was getting at is that some people in F/C don't want to switch seats, even when it means that SOs are not able to sit next to each other.

Me? Well, IF I'm lucky enough to be U/G, I'd probably consider changing seats, but I'm kinda partial to windows ......

And changing from bulkhead going north, why of course - going south, why of course not, unless it was an exit seat AND there was something more to it. At least three quarters of my leisure travel is international, and I like to get to the Immigration line as soon as possible

And if you GF makes that big of an issue of this, I see other problems looming
