It's particularly great because I can use my Transit debit card which is stored in the app as I don't carry that card around with me.
I have to agree both the MTA and NJ Transit app have been game changers.

Allows you to make connections in minutes, as you don't have to worry about stopping to get a ticket. Once I sit down on the train I can start the process of purchasing my ticket. I can't believe transit in the tri-state area has become so streamlined.
