I know with 100% certainty that the MP Desk fully knows whether you are a 1K through qualifying independently or as an MM companion, and they know immediately which tells me its not hard for them to look. I do not think the 1K desk generally / reservations can tell (and they shouldn't otherwise the status bump would likely be significantly less meaningful). So the people extending your points know. Whether or not this will qualify for an extension though -- - dont know.
