I was in T2 around 3:30 waiting to board my PDX flight when they made the announcement that the aircraft would not be flying and passengers would be rebooked tomorrow at 9:30am. Local residents would be comped transportation and others would get hotels. Lots of unhappy and confused passengers. People rushed the counter and they had to ask everyone to calm down and maintain order.

i didn’t know of the emergency until after I was airborne.
