Comments: A pretty sweet upgrade, no doubt aided by traveling during the low season; I'm paying £275/night for a room currently listed at £1000/night. When I attached the SNAs I only ticked the box for the highest option, and the upgrade cleared at 2:10pm GMT.
All checked in, and I did indeed get upgraded as above.
Unfortunately they won’t be providing me with some of the ancillary services described as included with the room—complimentary afternoon tea, wet shave, and manicure/pedicure. Not sure if it’s standard for SNAs to not include such things when they’re typically included with a room (on the website, they aren’t listed as tied to a particular rate). Feels a bit like getting a first class flight upgrade but not being offered the meal, haha.
Anyway, minor in the scheme of things, and the room itself is of primary importance. Glad the upgrade worked out.
