FWIW, I picked up BB at an IHG property in the dead of winter in the high mountain (US) west a few years ago. Property gave me four nights' worth of points, some 100k. Since it was like NEGATIVE 30 degrees out, I just left my luggage in vehicle for a few days.
It was a regular Marriott Cat 5
