I don't see what the fuss is, it is in everybody's best interest to seat minors with their accompanying guardian. Delta allows people with minors to buy BE fares, you can't really blame someone for taking advantage of the loophole. It only really creates stress on the person taking advantage of the loophole and Delta. Want no stress, don't buy BE.

In some random cases perhaps passengers with non BE fares may be inconvenienced. But I would hazard a guess it is rare, so really what is all the fuss about?

I will also add that the fare difference is irrelevant. People arguing it is minimal, or $750. That is all relative and makes no difference in the situation.
