Could you confirm that miles was in fact deducted and re-deposited? If you refunded within 24 hours, is it possible that miles were never deducted in the first place (i. e., e-ticket was never issued)? Were you charged penalty?
I understand that it didn't become "new" miles (no expiration with activity), but the fact that it returned with separate expiry dates seems to be different from the previous practice as well. Previously, I believe others had reported that miles would be returned with at least another 3 years of validity.
It would be really helpful if you could kindly clarify these points. Thanks!
