I usually book early enough to get a nice window EC seat, cannot bear the thought of being in a middle seat in the middle rows, too claustrophobic. But 31" pitch doing nothing for me either.
The bassinet seats are often blocked until OLCI, so if you don't mind the bulkhead seats there is a slight chance they'll open up.
