I’ve never indicated to Delta what I do for a living but I’m not aware of, nor would I ever expect, any special privileges. I’ve had a few colleagues that have assisted with passengers falling ill in flight over the years and they’ve received some compensation for their efforts after the fact but I can assure you there’s no secret arrangement between Delta and MDs.
Several years ago my wife and I were flying Continental from EWR to SFO when an FA fainted. At that point my wife had been a surgeon for over 30 years. She administered to the FA and she regained consciousness. My
wife barely got a "thank you" from the other FA's but had to fill out several pages of paper work followed up with a letter from the airline asking for additional details. Next time, let them find someone else to revive the FA.
