Yeah, and it doesn't need to weigh nearly that much to kill somebody. I'm disappointed that a known issue that could cause serious damage and injuries on the ground with a known fix was given *4 years* to implement. This is a lot like the 737 engine blade inspections after a plane was damaged, and Southwest and other airlines fought saying they would take too much downtime, until that poor woman was killed and all of a sudden they were able to complete all of the inspections in a few days with minimal flight impact.
