Actually, if we are going to use this thread to pound the table and rant about something (personally I just thought it was neat and nostalgic but I will play along), I would first think of the converse - the fact that these properties still have outdated signage confirms the hypothesis that many of us hold that Marriott does not keep its properties on a sufficiently short leash in ensuring adherence to brand standards - including the delivery of elite benefits, I might add.
