The OP in the thread that you referenced chose to self-delete so they weren't actually removed by the moderators from when I last saw that thread however pre-deletion they pretty much confirmed in their posts that they were up to something that wasn't on the up and up (and that they knew it).
I'm still surprised that they were able to bonus-churn using their SSNs without running afoul of Citi and Barclays initial application review process so this must have really been some sort of nefarious setup to be able to re-apply and succeed with those bonuses that often.
