I don't see why hotels don't advertise as "Conrad Two Dollar a Night" and add fees to total ~ $450/night.
This was the strategy of "Dollar a Day Rent a Car" back in the 1970s. They were forced to drop the "a Day" from their brand to avoid prosecution.
