For their highest elites (Platinum One nearly 100% of time, Platinum most (some?) of the time), QF will block the adjacent seat in economy from selection until the flight is turned over to airport control close to day of departure. This is not an "official" benefit, though.

Of course, QF has no flights to the Eurozone at this point in time, so that doesn't do OP a lot of good.
