Actually, they now serve free (cold) meals to everyone in Y on A321T transcon flights between JFK and SFO as well as JFK and LAX. Other flights over 3 hours between 5am and 8pm have buy on board items that can be preordered! Typically, a chicken sandwich, turkey wrap, both with a chocolate chip cookie, hummus tray, and cheese plate.
