Flight is YVR-US, AE award in PE, would have considered eup to J if no copay, as they'd likely just expire otherwise.
Please excuse my ignorance, but is PE->J simply not an eup option transboarder? Or is the "companion" bit a flag something larger has gone awry?
It's likely the system glitching. I specifically booked upcoming travel that WAS upgradeable and prior to the system moved showed as that but now it's showing it's not eligible.
