I am starting to think this is my only option. The outbound is on 12/24 and inbound on 1/1, so a 2-day difference is a lot.

I mean, what would you guys consider - would you try anything else? I asked if the outbound flight could have a shorter layover since the inbound now has a longer layover, but they were not willing to help with this (relatively minor) request.
