Congrats on it all working out. I just successfully BRGd 5 rooms at the Hilton La Romana. 3 of the rooms was easy breezy (completed in 45 min or less over the phone) , but they certainly made me work for the last 2 rooms. It was trials and tribulations to get it done. It took 2 days with screenshots and emails.
On the other hand, I've had experience with the Hyatt BRGs. All 5 Hyatt BRGs took less than 5 minutes to complete over the phone. These were all with different reps for different hotels.
I don't know if it's the Hilton systems, Hilton reps lack of training or both, but the Hilton needs to get it together.
