I am trying to book ATL-OGG on Delta One which requires a ATL-HNL leg and then a codeshare connection on Hawaiian Air to OGG.
Before this week I had no trouble finding routing on Delta.com. Usually it would be the same price as just ATL-HNL. I found this routing on numerous dates throughout the year. Now it's completely gone and Delta only shows First Class options with routings through LAX or SEA.
I called an agent and she couldn't get it either, and instead had to force it in as two one ways which made it ridiculously expensive.
Is this some kind of bug or is there something going on with their relationship with Hawaiian Air?
It looks like the cheapest business (D1) fares require going through MSP/JFK and then onto HNL. The fares I'm seeing going ATL-HNL-OGG all are requiring Y and J class (dual inventory) and price at approx $1800-1900 OW. The cheaper fares all require going ATL-MSP/JFK-HNL-OGG .
I'm able to pull up the through fare going ATL-HNL-OGG in the app. Thus there may have been inventory or fare updates going on when you were looking.
