Sorry for the late reply, but anyway my wife never mentioned anything (then again, many of her incoming e-mails end up in the spam folder), 1-2 months ago I asked the customer service to look for the account using various pieces of info (including a few e-mail addresses) but nothing came up, as if it had never existed :P
Not really that important, since she's been flying on (my) miles for quite some time now, but 1-2 every 2 years she'd get on a flight using a paid ticket (when the prices are that low that it's worth it), but (for whatever reason) she has a miles and more account now, so that's where these get credited now. Like I said, my gut feeling is that nothing past 2012 got credited and I don't remember her ever browsing her miles and bonus account online. We just always had that plastic card with us at the time (which is now also "missing" :P).
Anyway, I just wanted to say that account closures due to inactivity do, or at least did, happen.
