If anything, I would have thought that it's not particularly newsworthy precisely
because it's a new aircraft. "New aircraft has teething problems" or "New aircraft model has teething problems" is about as unsurprising as you can get. At least in this case it's not engines repeatedly going bang above 30,000 feet.
