3 years ago, BE was simply called a middle coach seat that you couldn't get out of. It's not some kind of draconian punishment.
$100 is usually way more then needed to get me out of BE. Usually it's $30 additional to get a reg coach fare.
Again, the problem is the BE fare is occasionally way higher then the typical price for the market. I mean like $400 for a CLT-MIA one-way walk-up.
That price is fine but it shouldn't be stripped of amenities.
