The above is correct in that as an AMEX Platinum card holder you get complimentary SkyClub access and a companion costs $29.
For your other question, you can enter TSA in T2 and if they say your flight departs T3, just tell them you intend on using the lounge and will take the shuttle to T3. The shuttle to T3 is near TSA and Gate 21. I’ve entered TBIT to use a lounge there when I was departing T2 and it was no problem.
