Well it's been coming for a long time and they have showed their hand. I have no problem with that. As a 10 x LHR-SFO-LHR per year, foreign address, nowhere near PQD flyer, UA has nailed it when it says their intent to cull the herd includes people like me. My problem is that I detest BA, am not flying in VS economy, so that leaves UA. That said, although I knew this would come one day, I just don't like the words/messaging/manner in which it has been done. I will make 1K next year barring some unexpected circumstance, but I need to look at other options, or just become a nomad. Not sure I can be bothered to invest any time in this or not to be honest. Oh well, it was good while it lasted. I think I will scrape Gold if I do stick with them.
