imho, there is no justification for the price premium of Aman over Gritti. Stick with the Gritti. I had a good long look at Aman. It convinced me that I would never want to stay there. It feels more like a movie set than a hotel. Last year in Nov, only 3 rooms were occupied.

You need only an entry level room there as public spaces are so quiet and beautiful.
The small size of the property makes you feel like a royalty in his own palace.

I have had a little bit of a frustrating experience booking 5+ rooms for a stay + private dinner event in March, but sticking with it. The terrace of the Gritti is tempting but given March weather I don't think we'll be missing much there.
